Ottoman Palace Hotel and Resort is a hotel and resort built on a crescent of Palm Jumeirah, Dubai United Arab Emirates. It is the first Ottoman Empire-themed hotel in Dubai, is composed by 410 rooms, 38 suites and incorporates a Turkish Spa. Construction on this hotel was started in May 2007 and SYLPRO product line has been used for sound insulation under parquet.
Requirement.
Given the structural and technical character of the various floors, the designer had to solve the acoustic issue with an underfloor system that would also guarantee mechanical behavior according to the hotel's rigid standards.
Suggested solution.
The solution involves the use of a 4mm thick rubber mat with high density combined with a wooden floor. The possibility of dry laying has accelerated the operations.
Result.
High acoustic comfort and mechanical stability made it possible to meet the standards and lower the maintenance costs of the flooring.
